My night so far...

I stopped to get the mail and stepped in dog poo which I tracked into the car. My boots and floormats are sitting outside my front door. I don't suppose they'll clean themselves. :( I walked into the house and smelled something funny, no not the wafting odor from my boots following me in the house...dinner. Yep, my effort to make dinner in the crockpot went terribly wrong. Note to self...chicken, carrots, broccoli, a can of cream of mushroom soup , and a lot of cooking wine do not do well in the crockpot. It actually kind of burned despite the ridiculous amount of liquid that I put in the pot this morning. Needless to say, I threw it out and ventured into the freezer for a frozen dinner...,another note to self, Banquet swedish meatballs aren't very good (not that I had very high expectations). Anyway, I guess I'm off to scrape the dog poo off my boots and car mats. Ick.

So Christmas is over and everything went well...on to Luke's birthday and New Years. I'm completely stressed out and am not sure how I'm going to put things together. I have so much to do, but I'm sure everything will be fine.

ok, so I couldn't stay away from flowers...I hate the winter. If I have to suffer through this cold for another few months I might as well get a break. This gives me hope for spring.

Back to reality...

I'm back from FL and back to reality. We had a fantastic time and I can't wait to go back soon. When we left FL it was 83 degrees and perfectly sunny. We arrived back in PA to snow, sleet and gray dark skies. Ugh. Here are a few pictures of my sunny trip.

Think Spring

OK, maybe summer. I'm done with this winter thing already. I took these pictures last weekend and everytime I look at them I feel warmer. Maybe not the second one, I look at that and think Valentine's Day that instantly makes me cold. Is there anything colder than Febuary? Ick. Anyway, I'm thinking sun. I love to sit in the sun, close my eyes and relax. There is something about the summer that just makes me happy. I love the sun, tank tops, flip flops, sand, and flowers. Although there is something charming about snow I don't think I'd ever miss it. I'm definitely a summer girl and I think I'll always be that way.

The Case of the Turkey Napper

So...my son and I went grocery shopping last night. I only needed a few more points to get my free turkey and was excited. I ended up doing a huge shopping trip and by the end Luke and I were tired and hungry. I checked out at the store took my super long receipt and went home. For some reason this afternoon I decided to pull out my receipt and look at my free turkey coupon. No coupon...in fact my receipt said "250 Thanksgiving points were redeemed for a certificate on 10/28/07". How's that, you ask? I thought the same thing. At last count I had 223 points and had been planning for weeks to do my final shopping trip. I knew I hadn't done any shopping at that store and I hadn't missed the coupon. Sooo, next possible suspect. I emailed my soon to be ex and asked if he somehow had gotten my free turkey. Of course he did!!!! HE STOLE MY TURKEY!!!!!! So girls or guys here's the lesson...when separating, you even need to think about dividing or getting new cards for all of the stores that you shop at bonus cards, points, discount cards, etc. because someone may steal your turkey. Hopefully the rest of my Thansgiving planning will work out better. Ugh.

Friday Night!

Friday should be exciting, right? No so much... I worked late helping coworkers, which was fine because I didn't need to be anywhere tonight. After work I figured I'd go to the mall to buy shoes. I didn't even try anything on they all seemed blah. So I'll go buy clothes...tried stuff on..too tight, too itchy. Walked around the mall and couldn't find anything to buy. What's wrong with me? Drove home. Started getting chest pains. Yippee Friday night is great! On the way home I called my parents, no answer. Boyfriend, no answer (and didn't call back yet, thanks). 2 sisters, no answer. I could be dead, having a heart attack and no one answers the phone. I guess everyone else actually does things on Friday night. I'll just continue to surf the web, chill out and hope I don't croak tonight. To all of you that didn't answer your phones, thanks, I love you too! (My mom finally called) Oh and yes the chest pains finally stopped, for now. Thanks for your concern.
