The Case of the Turkey Napper

So...my son and I went grocery shopping last night.  I only needed  a few more points to get my free turkey and was excited.  I ended up doing a huge shopping trip and by the end Luke and I were tired and hungry.  I checked out at the store took my super long receipt and went home.  For some reason this afternoon I decided to pull out my receipt and look at my free turkey coupon.  No coupon...in fact my receipt said "250 Thanksgiving points were redeemed for a certificate on 10/28/07".   How's that, you ask?  I thought the same thing.  At last count I had 223 points and had been planning for weeks to do my final shopping trip.  I knew I hadn't done any shopping at that store and I hadn't missed the coupon.  Sooo, next possible suspect.  I emailed my soon to be ex and asked if he somehow had gotten my free turkey.  Of course he did!!!!  HE STOLE MY TURKEY!!!!!! So girls or guys here's the lesson...when separating, you even need to think about dividing or getting new cards for all of the stores that you shop at bonus cards, points, discount cards, etc.  because someone may steal your turkey.  Hopefully the rest of my Thansgiving planning will work out better. Ugh.
